Autumn is in full swing, and with cooler weather and changing leaves, it’s time to cozy up with the throws and embrace everything pumpkin spice.
Let’s take a fall home tour with some of our HomeGoods contributors to see how they’ve transitioned into the new season.
1. Neutrals and Textures
Laila, from Designs by Laila, focused on adding neutral colors and textures to her space.

“For my fall decor I decided to go with warmer tones. I was all about using golds, whites and textures. Usually, I’ll add a pop of color with my black and white decor, but for a change, I thought I’d try something different, so I went ahead with neutrals.”

“I love using golds in my home because they make everything look so elegant. For my coffee table vignette, I grouped all the golds and whites together on a white tray without adding any other pops of color. I really like how it turned out. With fewer accessories, my table looks simpler and cleaner.”
2. Make It Contemporary
Ressa Ali, from Mod Max Glam, looked for accessories and accents to keep the atmosphere contemporary, while still pulling in the colors of fall.

“To transform this small space, I headed straight to my favorite store ever: HomeGoods. It was love at first sight when I first laid eyes on these beautiful jewel-toned mustard and teal pillows.”

“I also got super lucky when it came to bedding, lamps and art, oh my! This was definitely a home run shopping spree and I’m so grateful because my apartment was in desperate need of decorative attention.”
3. Add Contrast
Amy at Crazy Chic Design wanted to create strong contrasts and make some eye-catching changes to her decor.

“I wanted to give this corner a bold update, so I bought two white, gallery wrapped canvases and painted a couple of fun abstracts. I love how they turned out, and it was super easy and affordable!”

“I found this great black coffee table tray at HomeGoods. I like the contrast of the black against the stark white.”
4. Incorporate Patterns
Susana, from Too Chic for Words, incorporated patterns and elements that flowed smoothly together.

“Can we please talk about this furry stool that I found at HomeGoods and how well it goes with the colors from the plaid paper? When I saw it, I just knew it would be a match made in heaven. I also added some natural elements to this space by bringing in a real plant and this beautiful basket.”

“Here’s a view of all the different textures and patterns that I decided to use. Everything is neutral, which can easily be paired with any other color, which most likely will happen sooner rather than later around here.”
5. Bring the Outdoors, In
Joan and Tamara from 2 Ladies & a Chair took inspiration from the outdoors to create a cozy, natural feel inside the home.

“I was so inspired by the colorful pumpkins and gourds I saw at our local market that I quickly changed my decor to reflect the colors of fall: orange, yellow, gold, white and green. All these colors I mixed with my basic grey this year to create my autumn decorations.”

“I love all the textures that fall brings–leathers, faux furs and cozy knits. I was inspired by beautiful cozy throws I bought from HomeGoods this year. A subtle plaid and neutral print was the starting point for my fall decor, as were all the gold accents I picked up there!”
6. Small Accents for Big Impact
When it comes to autumn decor, Lizbeth from Home and Fabulous used home accents to capture the feeling of a fall afternoon.

“My house this year has the color cranberry, because who says fall is boring? I love pumpkins in the color orange, but this year I decided to paint them cranberry colored. And, of course, my favorite ones are the white ones. I love white pumpkins, they just look so elegant!”

“A majority of things were bought at my favorite store, HomeGoods, including these lanterns, which were originally silver. But since I love everything in gold, and I didn’t think I’d find them anywhere in gold, I decided to spray paint them myself. I love the way they turned out!”
7. Embrace Color
Janine, from Happy Happy Nester, brought in fall accents and a few key color choices for her autumn designs.

“Our pillows are mostly white, and I love adding one or two pillows for the different seasons. It is an easy short-cut that allows you a bit of freedom since you don’t have to worry too much about patterns and color. Just choose out one or two colors that you want to emphasize against the white. Also, the color you choose will pop!”

“The branches on our centerpiece are from a bush in our garden. I loved the light-grey and green colors, and how they matched the pastel gourd. It is a simple style, but pretty, and definitely speaks of Autumn colors and feel.”
8. And Remember, Fall Can Be Bold!
Shayna, of With Love, From California, looked for bright, bold colors that would really make her home stand out for the fall.

“Can you tell that orange is my color this fall? I’ve been snatching up pops of orange everywhere I go!”

“Almost everything on this table came from a recent HomeGoods trip. I’m usually not a square plate kind of girl, but I couldn’t resist this fun paisley print!”
